Student Accommodation St Michael’s Rd Portsmouth
The Registry started life as the government building where birth, marriages and deaths were recorded until it closed in the early 1990’s when it transitioned into a student pub until it recently ceased trading.
The building was closed for a while before being redeveloped into student accommodation. The inside of the building has been removed and a steel framework inserted to allow new floors and living units to be constructed. Accommodation comprises a single room with mini kitchen and bed area and a separate toilet and shower facility for each resident.
Heavy duty escape sash locks and bolt fix stainless steel lever furniture have been installed to the student rooms to meet fire safety and security requirements.
The master key locking system has been designed to give students access to their individual room and to the cycle store, exercise facility and refuse areas whilst ensuring residents are protected from unwelcome guests.
There are also common rooms and a management suite of offices.
