The two redundant Grade 2 listed Finchdean ward blocks of St Mary’s Hospital, Portsmouth were re-modelled into flats for rent and shared ownership.
Security and Sign Services worked with the main contractor to schedule and provide appropriate ironmongery to give the buildings a modern feel in the individual flats and maintain the Victorian feel to the sliding sash windows retained in some areas of the building.
A range of type tested products were used to meet fire safety requirements and provide robust materials. Ironmongery was supplied on a phased delivery basis.
